This souvenir kazoo takes its name from the Socialist Party's 1908 campaign train, the "Red Special".
The "Eugene V. Debs Memorial Kazoo Night" event originally ran at Tigers Stadium (Comerica Park) from the early eighties to 1999 and was revived as recently as 2024.
